Fierce Grace is a new yoga system. Creator Michele Pernetta brought Bikram Yoga to London in 1994 and now brings practitioners the chance to achieve the ultimate blend of strength and flexibility for both body and mind. Based on classical hatha yoga, Bikram and Ashtanga yoga, Fierce Grace is a unique series of 6 different classes based on the same core poses and principles, each with a different emphasis, duration and intensity.

We’ve added two of those classes, Fierce Grace and Deep Core to our schedule at Haute Bodhi. From the yoga shy or the injured to advanced yogis, both classes are designed to be accessible and effective for everyone.

Michele was a personal student of Bikram Choudhury for many years. She opened the first Bikram studio in London, became one of Bikram’s senior teachers, and opened another 3 studios. Michele also studied Ashtanga Vinyasa with Larry Schultz. She launched in 2013 and now FG is offered in 23 locations both in the UK and Ireland and international countries such as the USA, Brazil, Italy, Australia, Sweden, Spain, Lebanon and France.

The Fierce Grace system is an integrated and carefully designed yoga system that welcomes all body types and levels. The classes feel like a natural and logical next step for long time Bikram practitioners, and students new to yoga or from different disciplines will discover thoughtful and well- designed heated classes through which to build their practices.


FIERCE GRACE (90 minutes)

Our user-friendly but challenging general level class. Hip openers, deep twists, upper body strengtheners, bum and ab toners, this fully rounded workout works 100% of the body. It is a combination of Hatha, Power and Ashtanga yoga, Interval and Core Training and offers peak fitness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Performed to music this class is designed to develop a sense of enjoyment and freedom and to allow one’s breath and energy to fuel the practise. This class is the centre spoke of all the classes and the class they all originate from. Key benefits: upper body, strength, toned bum and abs, grace and fluidity, deep expression of the self.

DEEP CORE (75 minutes)

The deepest stretch out there. Suitable for beginners and advanced students alike, this is an alignment class, both motivating and relaxing. Floor-based, allowing us to drop any desire to “perform” and connect deeply with body and breath. Designed to realign postural issues and release stress, the slower pace allows time to work with injuries, learn correct alignment and work on flexibility. Key benefits: Deep hip opening, leg stretching, learning alignment, and developing flexibility.
